Job Description

The main purpose of the RQHSE Officer is to be responsible within the RQHSE Directorate for the effective implementation and monitoring of RQHSE management systems, associated standards and Company objectives, in order to deliver and continually improve strong RQHSE performances and maintain a healthy safety culture aligned to the principles of all current and potential future accreditations.


  • Analyse performance data against defined parameters for monitoring and measuring QHSE processes

  • Incident Classification support for reporting monthly KPI targets.

  • Support the identification and implementation of solutions for continual improvement of company processes and procedures

  • Manage the Fleet COSHH Database

  • Support Supplier Management Process, in regards to reviewing HSE and Quality related risk of suppliers

  • Providing RQHSE documentation, support and subject-matter expertise to developing and implemented projects within the all Global Marine Group BUs

  • Together with Dir. RQHSE and BU Managing Directors, prepare annual KPI’s and Objectives, with supporting initiatives where required, to publish across the organisation via the Annual RQHSE Plan

  • Promoting and driving RQHSE-focussed campaigns & initiatives from within the business and external project-/client-related sources

  • Providing a visible and effective leadership example in RQHSE standards at all times, to all colleagues & stakeholders, in promotion and maintenance of a strong safety culture

  • Accountable for relevant sections of the Company’s RQHSE Management Systems, ensuring that policies, processes and guidelines are compliant with accredited standards, relevant legislation and industry best-practices, and actively support safe & efficient organisational performance

  • Promoting and driving RQHSE-focussed campaigns & initiatives from within the business and external project-/client-related sources

  • Liaise with RQHSE Business Partners to ensure the timely publication of Safety Bulletins and other relevant publications, to promote Lessons Learnt within the organisation and to relevant industry bodies such as IMCA

  • Support colleagues in all aspects of QHSE management 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience


  • Proven experience in effective implementation & performance management of RQHSE management systems, standards, accreditations & practices

  • Relevant accreditation – NEBOSH GC or higher (or equivalent)

  • Incident Investigation & Root Cause Analysis

  • Pro-active approach

  • Ability to multi-task and provide constructive safety-focussed solutions to multiple challenges

  • Good team working is essential, coupled with good verbal, presentation and written skills




  • Proven experience within the marine telecoms, offshore renewables and/or Oil & Gas sectors

  • Certification for offshore work, including relevant and in-date offshore medical certificate offshore training



    Based - Chelmsford, Essex (UK)

    Remote Working - as required at Company and 3rd Party vessels & sites (worldwide)
