Job Description

Due to continued growth within Global Marine Group, we have identified a new opportunity for a Marketing Executive to support the delivery of integrated marketing and communications activities across the Group and its associated business units, including Global Marine, OceanIQ and SubConnect. The role involves creating high-quality marketing content, managing digital channels including website management, SEO, social media, email marketing and performance analytics. As well as maintaining brand consistency, supporting events and delivering effective internal communications, collecting and analysing campaign data to optimise performance.

 Candidates should be degree educated in Marketing/Business/Communications/Visual Communications or a related qualification (or equivalent work experience in a marketing environment), with strong IT, communication, and organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects to tight deadlines.

Key Deliverables: 
  • Working with the Head of Marketing to implement integrated marketing activities, which support the company’s business plan and strategy for growth.
  • To support in the preparation of a range of high-quality publicity materials as required which could include, although not exclusively: social media content, newsletters, customer communications, advertisements, case studies, company literature, exhibition material and press releases.
  • Collect and organise campaign data, analytics, and reports.
  • Develop and maintain a consistent brand identity within Global Marine Group and develop dual branding solutions as required alongside joint ventures and partners.
  • To provide logistical support for exhibition and conference attendance and other events.
  • Responsibility for delivering clear internal communications campaigns utilising existing and recommending as appropriate new channels for delivery.
  • To develop and implement a comprehensive multi-channel digital marketing plan aligned to the wider team activity. This would include managing Group websites, maximising SEO, utilising social media, providing analytical information and email marketing. Additionally, there is a requirement to review, recommend and implement new digital tools to support the company’s marketing material and to keep us up to date with industry advances.
  • Any other requests made by line management from time to time which could include CSR and charitable activities, social committee input or internal communications.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Required:
  • Educated to degree level in Marketing/Business/Communications/Visual Communications or a related qualification (or equivalent work experience in a marketing environment.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a marketing role, in a business-to-business environment.
  • Strong IT skills – experience of using Microsoft office, design software (Adobe InDesign and Illustrator, Canva), social media for business, marketing automation tools and website CMS systems.
  • Ability to interpret analytics and optimise campaigns.
  • Excellent written communication capabilities with the ability to engage and convey messages to a variety of audiences in a clear and concise manner.
  • Excellent administrative skills.
  • Organised and self-motivated.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proactive work ethic with the ability to work well either individually or as part of a team and deliver to tight deadlines handling multiple projects.
Location:  This role is based in the Chelmsford office and follows a hybrid working arrangement, with working 3 days in the office and the other 2 days working remotely each week.
