Job Description
  • Purpose

     To provide support and development of the group IFS cloud-based ERP evergreen solution and connected systems

    Key Deliverables:

    • Conversant with Oracle PL/SQL.
    • Database administration monitoring background jobs, replication and interfaces
    • Managing system securities, profiles and user accounts
    • Assist with management of Cloud Technologies / Office 365 / Azure
    • Assist business need and be able to implement the IFS solutions to meet its requirements promoting simplification, innovation and automation.
    • Create enhancements, implement new features as well as create reports which includes developing Custom Objects, pages & events.
    • Support users in the business functional areas through an established Service Desk, concentrating on incident logging, problem resolution and recording corrective actions taken.
    • Support Application and system testing, document process and application functionality and maintain user manuals.
    • Contribute to feasibility studies for functional and technical enhancements to the existing application and help maintain the evergreen pathway.
    • Requires proven experience in a global environment, applying in-depth knowledge.
    • Based in Chelmsford 4/5 days per week and on call 365 days a year.
    • You may be requested to carry out supplementary duties or other duties not defined in this Job Description at various times as requested by the Company in order to ensure the smooth running of the department, or during periods of sickness, holidays or high volume of work. You may also on some occasions be requested to provide service outside your normal working hours, but these requests will not be unreasonable.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Required:

  • Knowledge in PL-SQL.
  • Networking protocols for ERP systems
  • Identity Management (Active Directory, Azure AD, 2FA,)
  • Good working knowledge of Crystal Reports
  • Experience of Cloud Technologies / Office 365 / Azure
  • An experienced problem solver
  • Good communication Skills - Able to communicate technical concepts to non-technical colleagues.
  • Ability to work within a team.
  • Pro-active and self-driven.
  • Highly analytical.
  • Flexible, able to manage and adapt to new requirements and changing priorities.
  • Ability and willingness to travel worldwide and to vessels
