Job Description

Purpose

This role is responsible for supporting the Facilities & Stores Manager to manage the Ocean House facility and company residential properties on a day-to-day basis meeting company and statutory requirements. Ensuring that the facility reflects the safety culture, represents the brand and provides the necessary services to employees and visitors alike. Proactively striving to ensure best practice is met and high standards are maintained.

 

Role Responsibilities

  • To assist the Facilities team as directed and cover as required.
  • Performs general repairs, painting and plumbing maintenance to the premises, building fixtures and furniture.
  • Porterage of small equipment and office supplies as required
  • Support/Log daily and weekly statutory testing as required to include: daily weekly Fire alarm tests and logging of outcome, weekly water temperature logging and Ladder log inspections
  • Preparation and maintenance of meeting rooms, including setting up seating and general tidying
  • Stores Despatch Duties – logging goods into online portal and the correct boxing up and labelling of parcels to be sent by areas of the business
  • Perform Toolbox talks to contractors that attend site and make sure correct Health and Safety information is completed
  • Stock take cleaning products/delivery packaging and submission of order to the Manager
  • Receipting of Purchase Orders (using IFS)
  • Clean and refill drinks vending machines daily
  • Perform office moves and furniture reconfiguration
  • Provide a cleaning service to all areas falling outside the remit of cleaners
  • Support team administration
  • Coordinate all company archiving
  • Holiday cover for some aspects of Facilities team role
  • Unlock main yard gates & Fire doors from 7am during holiday cover
Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Qualifications/Skills/Experience 

Essential 

  • GCSE’s Maths and English pass level of 4 +
  • Flexible, reliable and capable of working on own initiative
  • Ability to prioritise and organise own work as a team player and remain customer focused
  • Good practical skills to work with hand and power tools
  • Good understanding of safety rules and regulations
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn
  • Articulate, literate, numerate, with good communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Word and Excel
