Job Description

Purpose: The Group Tax Manager will be responsible for oversight of the Groups tax affairs, co ordinating information for preparation of statutory tax returns, ensuring compliance and acting as primary contact for our tax advisors.

The Group Tax Manager will seek to improve processes to ensure the Groups tax affairs are in order and commercial position is protected. The Group Tax Manager should seek to develop strong, collaborative relationships within the finance team and across the wider business. The Group Tax Manager does not need to be an expert in every area, but must be confident in knowing when to ask.

 

Key Deliverables:

· Review all SAC papers to ensure tax implications of potential contracts are fully understood by the business ahead of contracting, ensuring documentation of this is complete

· Act as contact for any business queries on taxes

· Liaison point with advisors

· Review of statutory filings across all Group companies, including but not limited to VAT returns, GST returns, CIS returns, corporation tax returns including tonnage tax calculations

· Support in preparation of the financial accounts notes

· Review and submission of ONS returns

· Undertaken review of Senior Accounting Officer legislation to ensure compliance

· Review and update of transfer pricing arrangements

Required:

· Qualified accountant, with at least 5 years of post-qualified experience

· Offshore, engineering or project-delivery sector experience

· Experience in global taxes

· Excellent communication skills to be a partner to the Business Units

· Has the gravitas to operate at senior level

· Attention to detail

· Able to see things through to conclusion
