Job Description

Purpose: The Working Capital Manager will take a proactive role in managing the day to day cash flows of the business, ensuring a high level overview is maintained while paying attention to detail.  This is a Fixed Term full time role.

 

Key Deliverables:

  • Oversight of the rolling 13 week forecast
    • Review of rolling 13 week shore term cash flow forecast, prepared on a weekly basis by Liquidity Analyst
    • Key supplier payment reviews
    • Liaison with Project and Commercial teams to understand project cash needs and receipts
    • Liaison with asset and engineering directorate to get forward visibility of capex and high vessel spend, ensuring these payments are made in a timely manner to prevent any delays with vessels returning to operations
    • Liaison with shared services department heads to understand cash needs for each department

       

  • Accounts Receivable
    • Ensure timely and accurate billing
    • Proactive communication with the business to ensure billings are made ahead of client imposed billing deadlines
    • Close management of cash collection
    • Accurate and timely reporting of debtor position to the business
    • Escalation of customer queries to relevant department to ensure prompt resolution
    • Monthly review of the bad debt provision

       

  • Systems and Process Improvements
    • Continually assess systems and processes for potential improvements
    • Assist in IFS re-implementation to ensure best in class ERP system built into business

       

  • Other
    • Review month end balance sheet reconciliations for AR and bank accounts
    • Reporting for monthly management accounts
    • Provision of information for audit to ensure clean and prompt audit report
    • Other ad hoc duties as required
Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Required:

  • Experience of cash management and accounts receivable
  • Previous line management experience
  • Able to work to deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of excel and other Microsoft applications
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team player

Ideal:

  • Knowledge of IFS
  • Multi-Currency experience
