Job Description
Based in an office within our training facility in Grimsby, the Training Centre Administrator reports to the Head of Training and is responsible for supporting the day to day business operations, ensuring things run smoothly and applicable administration is completed efficiently and on time.
  • Handle customer enquiries and calls, following process and securing bookings where possible which includes;
  • Taking payments / course bookings and providing customers with joining instructions and required pre-course information. 
  • Processing of certification, filing of training reports and collating post course feedback and associated documentation. 
  • Updating the course calendar / website availability
  • Providing general administration support to the Head of Training, to include daily, routine and operational tasks such as logistics, filing and printing. 
  • Providing general administration support to the Trainers, to include daily, routine and operational tasks such as logistics, filing and printing. 
  • Preparing course / training materials ahead of course commencement to include laying out / setting up of training classrooms 
  • Acting as ‘front of house’, meeting and greeting attendees whilst following company process and ensuring compliance with procedures to include, but not limited to; Course Registration & COVID-19 safety protocols 
  • Liaising with other key stake holders within the business, identifying training needs and providing options / solutions where possible in close consultation with the Head of Training. 
  • Supporting daily training operations which includes organising travel and accommodation for trainers and trainees, organising lunches and ensuring the amenities such as tea, coffee and biscuits are always well stocked
  • Raising requisitions / generating purchase orders by request of any member of the Training Team.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
-Proficient in the use of MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook
-High Standard of written English
-Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
-High standard of pro-active organisational skills
-Good attention to detail
-NVQ, National Diploma or similar in Business Administration and/or:
-Formal Qualification in Administration or Administration Support
-Experience in a similar role
-Knowledge of Offshore Wind and Maritime Sector(s)
-At least 1 year experience in an administrative role, and/or;
-At least 1 year experience in a customer service based role.
