Job Description

Key Deliverables:

  • Work with the Fleet Electrical Superintendent to ensure vessels are compliant with company management policies, ISM code, Class rules and Flag state.
  • Worldwide vessel attendance to perform inspections and pre-installation surveys.
  • Worldwide vessel attendance to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and monitor planned maintenance periods if necessary
  • Technical Administrative support in close consultation with Fleet Electrical Superintendent, dealing with routine and non-routine maintenance and repair, including supervising the supply of spare parts and services
  • Keeping the Fleet Electrical Superintendent and Fleet Manager informed of any critical areas, which may compromise operational readiness.
  • Ensure adequate spare parts are identified to meet Dry Dock requirements.
  • Assist/organize surveys for statutory and classification requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of dry dock/refit specifications.
  • Provide annual leave support for the Fleet Electrical Superintendent.
  • Assist with the management of critical spares requirements, asset risk registers and obsolescence lists.
  • Support the Fleet Electrical Superintendent with the organisation and tracking of upgrade projects across the fleet.
  • Assist with the resolution of outstanding invoice queries.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • Minimum of HND in an Engineering discipline (preferably electrical)
  • Competent MS Office Suit User (Word & Excel) for ANY candidate.
  • Desirable:
    • Previous experience as an ETO or similar
    • Relevant shore experience
    • Knowledge of plant marine systems.
    • Familiarity with Dynamic Positioning Systems, high voltage (6.6kv) switchboards, submersible vehicles, and cable working machinery is an advantage
    • Electrical propulsion experience
    • Navigation and Control system experience
