Job Description

The Training and Compliance Superintendent reports to the Designated Person and forms part of the Fleet Operations team. This team is responsible for the safe, efficient and cost effective operation of vessels under the management of CWind.

The Training and Compliance Superintendent maintains seniority over the vessel crew, except where a vessel Master makes a decision for the safety of personnel and the vessel.

 

KEY DELIVERABLES

  • Management of ‘T Forms’ (Training) and ‘P.R.C.A’s’ (Performance Review and Competence Assessments) completed; ensuring they are reviewed and deemed acceptable prior to being uploaded to Crewsmart and any outcomes from these are actioned accordingly.
  • Liaising with resources coordinators to support on career development plans for crew
  • Management of the senior masters when they are conducting assessments and any other training
  • Facilitate assessments of new seafarers joining the company (where required).
  • Facilitate assessments of Masters, Mates and Deckhands in relation to their training programmes at least on an annual basis (Where required).
  • Facilitate training to new joiners to the company (where required)
  • Supporting the apprentice scheme for both crew and small boat engineer apprentices
  • Monitor compliance throughout the fleet and where necessary, develop systems and processes to help improve efficiency and accountability.
  • Maintain working knowledge of legislative and crewing training / qualifications in line with Flag, Class requirements
  • Assist in the control the preparation, implementation, evolvement, and revision of the Integrated Management System (IMS).
  • Working with Head of Training to develop and deliver training solutions for fleet Supporting on delivering any identified training needs following drills, safety observations and incident reports
  • Support technically on incident investigations as directed by offshore resource manager or DPA
  • Continually educate and develop the Vessel Crews and team to ensure they fully understand and uphold Company standards and policies.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • Certificate of Competence (Desirable)
  • ISM auditor (Desirable)
  • IMO Train the Trainer (Desirable) 
  • NEBOSH/IOSH (Desirable)
  • Valid Driving Licence (Preferably clean)

  • Experience in developing/maintaining a safety management system (Desirable)
  • Previous experience within windfarm industry (Desirable)
  • Excellent Knowledge of ISM Code & Maritime regulations
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams & PowerPoint
