Job Description

Purpose:

To implement and shape the future workforce strategy  within the Fleet Resourcing department, taking a data and evidence led approach to shape our Workforce Transformation project.

Working with wider business stakeholders the focus will be on building upon the current process and behaviours to define and implement a future focused strategic crewing  offering that works across the end-to-end process and organisation to meet our long term goals.

Key Deliverables:

  • Development of strategic forecasting to ensure efficient utilization of crew across the global marine managed assets to ensure that this meets the project deliverables and contractual obligations.
  • Initiate contractual discussions with third party manning providers in order to meet the long term objective to ensure resource capacity and competency can be met in the short and long term in line with business growth
  • Establishment of career and development plan to satisfy the long term requirements of the workforce strategy including training and recruitment requirements
  • Provide clear cost analysis for business planning purposes upon implementation
  • Analysis and establishment of the required roles and responsibilities of the new workforce strategy and clear structure of job descriptions.
  • Maintain clear and transparent communication with all stakeholders within the business as the project progresses.
  • Shape workstreams to allow for greater flexibility when delivery to our customers.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Required:

  • Experience in a similar role with a strong knowledge of MLC and other employment regulations of international seafarers
  • Proven ability to work in high pressure fast paced environments with delivery of projects
  • Working knowledge of employment law requirements.
  • Strong Stakeholder management experience
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Ability to travel internationally at short notice
  • Working knowledge of marine terminology and culture
  • Working across international borders to work as a global team
  • Supporting the Fleet Resourcing Manager as required

 

Ideal:

  • Working knowledge of Agile project management
