Job Description

The Technical Support coordinator reports to the Technical manager and forms part of the Fleet Operations Department. This team is this team is responsible for the safe, efficient and cost effective operation of vessels under the management of CWind.


  • Support the Technical Manager in ensuring that all vessels within the fleet are technically available at all times;
  • Support the Technical Manager with analysis of defects in order to introduce measures to prevent reoccurrence
  • Assist the Technical Manager in planning refit scopes for upcoming dry dockings
  • Assist in planning work schedules for the teams of Fleet Service Engineers
  • Monitor each vessel’s Planned Maintenance System (PMS) Ensuring all tasks are carried out correctly & in a timely manner
  • Work to ensure that Technical related Performance Indicators (PI) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) are being met
  • Plan and order spare parts as required ensuring compliance with company procurement procedures
  • Monitor vessel inventories ensuring minimum stock levels are maintained at all times
  • Review & file machinery oil analysis and condition monitoring reports for the fleet and raising any major issues identified to the Technical Manager
  • Assist with maintaining and performing stock check of vessel’s spares within the various stores locations as required
  • Assist in the continual improvement of the PMS
  • Assist in the continual improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS)
  • Review any manufacturers service bulletins and action accordingly
  • Ensure the company’s high standard of quality and safety is maintained at all times
  • Any other duties as reasonably required by the Technical Manager
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • Experience in Marine/Engineering industry (Desired)
  • Understanding of compliance and regulations required to maintain a vessel (Desired)
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings/manuals and identify spare parts required (Desired)
  • Strong MS Office experience
  • Ability to quickly familiarize and navigate several different company specific software applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective at problem solving and multi-tasking
  • Ability to prioritize workload
  • Ability to self-motivate and motivate others
