Fleet Resourcing Manager (Location UK or Singapore)

Job Description

Purpose:

You will play a key role in overseeing the Company’s fleet resourcing team that provides the crewing services for company owned and managed assets and projects. 

Key Deliverables:

  • Ensuring that all vessels and projects are manned in line with the appropriate manning levels or manning requests
  • Developing and delivering an effective personnel plan that supports changes in supply and demand including making proposals for reconciliation of shortfalls and surpluses
  • Managing third party suppliers of personnel to deliver a co-ordinated solution to manning requirements including the effective execution of the commercial contract with these suppliers
  • Preparation of monthly reports and KPI’s
  • Ensure that third party employment companies comply with all necessary legislation and taxation regulations – specifically by ensuring that agreed operating procedures are adhered to
  • Prepare cost information for business planning purposes and maintain an overview of costs, including applicable budgets
  • Leading the fleet resourcing team on all manning cost recording and analysis
  • Responsible for the effective line and performance management of all direct reports, as well as their motivation and development
  • Provision of applicable support to seafarer’s and third-party employers
  • Take up a role within the Company’s emergency response team and provide appropriate support where required
  • Liaison with the Company’s training department to ensure all training requirements are correctly identified and implemented as required
  • Supporting the Marine Manager as required
Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Required:

  • Experience in a similar management role
  • Proven experience of an effective strategic approach to marine crewing services
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to form effective working relationships with people at all levels and backgrounds
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Ability to travel internationally at short notice
  • People management skills  

Ideal:   

  • Experience of communicating with ships personnel and a working knowledge of marine terminology and culture
  • Experience and knowledge of national and international immigration regulations relating to seafarers
  • Working across international borders as part of a global team
