Job Description

Purpose:

The Stores, Logistics and Equipment Manager, has overall responsibility for planning and managing logistics, warehouse and transportation including customer services of all vessel and project stock and equipment. As well as overseeing equipment including PPE used by the organization, duties include but are not limited to purchasing of new equipment with the support of Global Marine Group central procurement and overseeing maintenance /repair, inventory, transportation, storage and cleaning of Equipment.

Key Deliverables:

  • Responsible for drafting, implementation and review of the Store and Equipment Level 3 life cycle process.
  • Ownership of the Equipment management procedures and processes.
  • Accountability for Stock management and responsible for overseeing distribution to various locations.
  • Accountability for all Equipment ensuring its inspected, certified, maintained /repaired, checked in or out on the inventory, transportation, storage and cleaning.
  • Responsible for the running and the overall management for the CWind Stores, Logistics and Equipment function.
  • Responsible for the implementation of a CWind internal Inspected & Certified team.
  • Accountability for ensuring all rigging and lifting equipment is inspected and certified to LOLER standards, both in the warehouse and on CWind Vessels and Projects.
  • Accountability for ensuring all electrical equipment is inspected and certified, both in the warehouse and on CWind Vessels and Projects.
  • Accountability for ensuring PPE is Inspected & Certified.
  • Recording detailed inspection onto the company’s system.
  • Own and drive best RQHSE practise and company policies.
  • Line Management of the Stores, Logistics and Equipment team, prepare work schedules and assign specific duties and delegate appropriately, performance reviews and overtime / holiday authorisation
  • Ensure proper budgetary control on all costs, prepare yearly budgets for the department.
  • Demonstrate leadership in safety, nurture and maintain a strong safety culture within the team, ensuring work only takes place with approved documentation / RAMS in place and where the staff have the requisite skills and training to undertake those tasks.
  • Liaise with other department managers and co-ordinate their requirements to ensure optimal utilisation of resources
  • Resolve problems that arise during daily work activities in an open and efficient manner.
  • Monitor sub-contractors to ensure all Contract obligations are delivered.
  • Follow appropriate signing authority levels.
  • Working with the company’s systems, E.g. IFS, Crewsmart.
  • Travel as required to support the company including out of hours work.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Required

  • Highly capable and experienced in managing Stores and Equipment to relevant standards to best practise with a minimum of 2 years background in a stores management role.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and effectively delegate tasks
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Driving licence and Passport.

  • Ideally experience in offshore wind.
  • LOLER inspector
  • PAT Test certification
  • Electrical / Mechanical background
