Job Description

Purpose:        This role is responsible for compiling data from both internal and external sources to enable the individual business units and wider Group to make sound business decisions based on statistical analysis and industry foresight to support the successful delivery of go to market plans, to launch new products and services and to aid the Group to achieve its 5 year growth targets.

Key Deliverables:

  • Gather quantitative and qualitative data about consumers, competitors, industry benchmarks and market conditions

  • Analyse data from both external and internal sources to help determine potential markets, product demand and pricing

  • Convert complex data and findings into understandable tables, graphs, and written reports with clearly articulated recommendations

  • Devise and evaluate methods for collecting data, such as surveys, questionnaires, focus groups and opinion polls - in order that the business increases understanding of customer needs and industry views

  • Execute analysis campaigns e.g. customer engagement/perception and assimilate statistics

  • Identify market opportunities and vision for the Group’s technology roadmap

  • Proactively assist in the development of value propositions and commercial insights based on market knowledge

  • Monitor and forecast marketing and sales trends

  • Measure the effectiveness of marketing programs and strategies

  • Measure ROI of marketing campaigns and ‘go to market’ activity

  • Prepare reports and present results to BUs and Leadership Team for example to assess the viability of new products/services

  • Negotiate contracts for research projects

  • Managing budgets

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a business to business environment

  • Industry awareness within markets of delivery (preferred)

  • Strong attention to detail and a strong analytical mind

  • Sound understanding of statistical concepts, research methods, and design

  • A methodical approach to work

  • Fast-paced, independent thinker

  • Manage multiple projects with quick turnaround  

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills 

  • Passionate and knowledgeable about strategic analysis

  • Work well with all levels of management, internal staff, customers, and with industry bodies

  • Highly motivated team player with innovation and persistence

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
